I've never been a big Manhattan guy but I'll definitely try one with the Rendezous Rye and bitters.

That McKenna's is getting harder and harder to find, unfortunately. I finished my last bottle and bought myself a $25 pour last week at Timpano's on Las Olas. On the one hand, I felt cheated and ripped off. On the other hand, once that delicious bourbon hit my lips I was pretty happy.

That last sentence is not completely right, my friend. In the winter, especially in northern Japan, hot sake is the way. Unfiltered, hot sake. Trust me, it has it's place.

That's a good price these days for the SR.

Green - Special Reserve Red - Antique Black - 12 year Blue - Full Proof White - CYPB (craft your perfect bourbon) Gold - Single Barrel And then the William Larue is a totally different bottle design. Tried a photo of the 3 I have at the moment, but it's over 3 mb. Grrr...

I think you will. It's higher proof that the others you have listed, and to me has more a molasses or brown sugar type of mouthfeel. If it bites too hard for you, try a few drops of water to open it up.

The EH Taylor at $100 is probably the best value there. It's the only one I'd be willing to buy at those prices, lol.

Those prices for the Special Reserve and Antique are hyper-taxed. I think the MSRP on both are under $45. I got a bottle of the Antique maybe 2 years ago for $75 and would pay that for it. At $185 that's wild... some sport you can still find the 12 year around $200, which IMO is the better deal.

Hat's off. If I had any sense I'd go work in that industry. That William Larue Weller is my personal favorite.

McKenna won best in show in SF 3-4 years ago and it's been a mission to find ever since. That award blew up a lot of our spots, lol. That Russell Reserve 10 year is another downlow great value.

Appreciate you, man. It's our differences that make us unique, haha. Based on the above, seems you might like a little more of that smokey flavor in your bourbon than I do (and if that's what you like, the ****els is a great value). Have you tried Longbranch? It's another Wild Turkey product and...

Preference is key. Nothing wrong with the Woodford Reserve. Great bourbon at that price point with some rye spice at a super manageable proof. BT is solid, and one of my preferred bourbons for old fashions. Eagle Rare is a nice sipper. Lower proof than the EH Taylor, which feels like the main...
