    USC and UCLA to B1G

With their rapidly expanding TV network, the Big 10 wanted to expand into the NY and DC TV markets so they picked up Rutgers and Maryland. Being the $$$ the Big 10 splits with its members, Maryland jumped ship.

    USC and UCLA to B1G

Being that USC and UCLA was totally out of left field (**** so was Texas and Oklahoma leaving for that matter), who really knows what is going to happen?

    USC and UCLA to B1G

Sounds like Cal, Washington State, Oregon State to the Mountain West.

    USC and UCLA to B1G

Agreed. Just to clarify though, I believe their basic argument was that the entire athletic programs as a whole were losing money due to the Title IX requirements, Olympic sports, etc. Totally agree with you though in that those non-revenue sports get funded by these big TV contracts for...

Miami would be a strong pick. I could see them asking for Stanford over Miami though. They have been playing Stanford pretty often.

No, I wasn't suggesting the Navy for Big 10 membership. I was just stating the 2 biggest rivals for ND are USC and Navy.

    USC and UCLA to B1G

That would be fine. Although, I doubt you'll find many ND fans who would claim Miami was one of their 2 biggest rivals. SC and Navy for sure. Michigan and Michigan State would be good choices as well.

The only way it happens is if ND joins and the ACC can get proof that the TV deal would get up to Big 10 level with enough big dogs jumping over. Extremely unlikely, but you never know.

    USC and UCLA to B1G

Agreed. However, they will need more than just ND and those other 4 schools to get near SEC and Big 10 money. If ND could be cajoled in some way to announce joining the ACC for football, then I hope they would put out feelers for any big dogs that would possibly come with ND on board. Some...

    USC and UCLA to B1G

Just wondering, why does everyone think the Big 10 or SEC is going for major expansion to anywhere from 20 to 32 schools? At a certain point, they will find diminishing returns. The payouts to each school will begin to go down at some point.

    USC and UCLA to B1G

Texas and Oklahoma did not get out of the Big 12 GOR. Their TV contract runs through 2025. They are negotiating with the Big 12 for an earlier exit, but for now, they are staying in the Big 12 for a few more seasons. The PAC 12 GOR runs out next season. The PAC 12 TV deal runs out after next...

Yes, but our home games will be played in 2 feet of water.

I like it. ND might even join since Stanford would be in it. Although Washington State away games in November, could look like they were being played in Antarctica. Whenever they play for the Apple Cup there against Washington, it is crazy.

Vandy is just fine, they are in the SEC. They get their portion of the big fat $EC TV money. Where I think Congress gets involved are for the schools that don't get into the Big 10 and SEC, especially the state schools that don't get in.

Not me, especially when I'm not as positive that Miami will find a nice landing place as others on here.

It is a shame how college sports, not just football, is being shredded.
