It is. But he was bad in Minnesota. Bringing in a NFL mindset is huge. I’m glad he’s not running the show though.

I understand that. But there’s this weird narrative that he wasn’t bad in Minnesota. His unit was terrible. But hiring him as an off field role is a slam dunk. Both statements can be true.

His unit was pretty bad. By in large though Mike Zimmer had bad ST units. It’s fair to say Zimmer played too much into that room because he ruined some decent kickers and ran off Cordarelle Patterson. But with Maloof as top dog the unit wasn’t great.

Off field doesn’t worry me too much. Getting an NFL opinion doesn’t hurt.

Combination of things. Dan Bailey got the yips bad at the end. Problem was more controllable things looked rough. Punt returns were awful. Made Osborne look unplayable. Some is probably attributed to Zimmer but the unit as a whole was better this season without him.
