Hate is such an absolute. But honestly forgot about this guy until a day or two ago, and I wish his name hadn’t resurfaced. There are better options out there IMO. But at least he’s been vetted so if it happens we can consider him a legit Mario target, not a Gattis type who is a shiny object...

I'm going to support Mario's choice no matter what. I appreciate that Mario is looking at guys who are ace recruiters. But this guy just doesn't impress me like several of the other names being tossed around too. Briles or Brady > Dorsey > .................... > Candle.

But he's correct in this case. If you have the better talent (and Toledo has been #1 or #2 in recruiting for years in the MAC) and consistently lose to inferior teams, what does that say about your coaching and coordinating? Are you saying there's no correlation?
