Well NCSU isn't anywhere close to MSU. I was being polite. Competing against OSU, PSU, Michigan in football is a little different than battling UNC, WF, Duke etc for years. NCSU has rarely ever been in the conversation while MSU has been.

Football only maybe you compare MSU and NCSU. Only comparison though, MSU is a far better school, more comparable to UNC.

There are no guarantees, that is why so many names get brought up. I think it comes down to what your expectations are for our program or what you want them to be. We favor the guy that you feel can meet those expectations. I'm in the minority, I don't want a coach that stays 20 years. Hard pass...

How often do you see it now? Saban is the exception. Different times. Systems get stale, Saban keeps rolling because he has to continuously hire new staff which IMO keeps it fresh. Those guys go out on the bottom more often than not, look at Patterson at TCU. Complacency is what I fear.
