Fair take. I guess when I think of "primetime" I think of Chris and Kirk doing the game. That is the #1 crew. So if they arent doing your game then is it still considered primetime even if you have the 8pm game?

This. Too risky for ABC. Last 2 primetime games we got blown out last year. (Clemson and UNC) Literally the game was over by halftime. They want to believe that we would keep it a game because the UM and Bama brands are huge...but thats a tough choice to make.
