If I'm going to put in a woman kicker, I want her to hammer it into the end zone. The way this played out it made her look bad, the coach look bad, and Vandy look bad.

I was under the impression that Vandy had no kicker at all. Now I see they actually had a kicker who did the first half kickoff. That does stink of a PR stunt. If you're going to say she's the best option, you don't make it look like she's just kicking because the game is lost.

I didn't see her at all, but considering how bad some of our kickers have been, consistently making 20 yarders would have been a blessing. My point is to judge on ability above all.
