We have mixed views on what's going on within the program, on the defensive side of the ball and with Burns. Regardless, neither view looks particularly good. Manny needs to be a true HC and give up control of the defense, which means bringing in an actual DC worth a ****. None of this "yes man"...

And want to be clear, I'm in no way absolving Banda as I think there are upgrades at position coaches at every position on the defense.

I can't recall one CB that's starting. I had to check in on Corn, but he's not a starter in Carolina's defense.

Point is that Banda at least brings something to the table. He may not be a great coach, but at least he's bringing in talent. Rumph isn't bringing in talent and his position group has regressed in terms of development.

Notre Dame under Brian Kelly has a pattern of success that exists out of this season. Manny doesn't. My point was that Manny hasn't shown great improvement as I'm still seeing a lot of issues that exist from last season regarding culture and what he allows.

In any field, if you're being micromanaged and you're fed up with your environment, look for another company.

Probably because our CB recruiting under Rumph has been abysmal. Meanwhile, look how Banda is stocking up at Safety.

If you take Clemson out of our schedule (which was a blow out loss), our schedule has been a joke and the 2nd half we've been scraping by against subpar competition. If we didn't have King, we'd look similar to what we did last year. There's no improvement that's noticeable other than our record...

Do you know who made the decision? Rumph has mentioned that he aims for getting CBs of the same mold as him. Rumph has to give feedback to Baker and Manny on the temperature of the recruits that he's targeting this cycle. That feedback likely feeds into the evaluation further up the chain.

Rumph's been known to not being able to read recruit's. His recruiting at the position has been flagrantly bad, and we just dropped a decent CB at a pipeline school in mid November.

I'm not a fan of dropping Burns. Mama Burns needs to read the fanbase better, it's a very select few that are slamming Burns. A majority of the fanbase is ****ed.
