Correct. Lincoln fought the Civil War as much over Unionism vs secessionism. Yes he found slavery abhorrent (as did countless before him), but his true prosecution of the Civil War is complicated.

I think you'll find the relationship with YOUR god-politician champions very one sided. POTUS 45 is brash among other things, but let me assure you, politicians of all stripes at best find YOU a useful tool/fool. Mostly YOU are sheep who need THEIR greatness to be led by. At worst...
