It still is overrated now. It’s not like people saw the light after the season and realized the season was never that strong in the first place.

TBH, Miami should have been more than 3.5 point dogs. I figured the spread would be higher. Not because ND was “invincible”, but because nobody took Miami that seriously. IIRC, we were 20 point dogs at FSU in 2013. That’s the equivalent of only 14 points at home, but it’s not like 2017...

Lol. 11 games that year say yes. Including the Bethune Cookman game. The only games that say otherwise are ND and Va Tech.

“Overachieving” is for teams like Wake Forest. Going 10-3 at Miami is not “overachieving”.

What? Nobody (except people with huge Canes glasses on) thought they were any better than about #10 even when they were 10-0. And are you going to pretend the last 3 games didn’t happen?

I didn’t say he wasn’t over the goal line. I just said it was questionable. Jesus. I don’t think it was an objectively bad call. But everybody knew it was borderline.

A last second win over possibly the worst FSU team since the 1970s on a questionable officiating call? (I’m really not sure the guy was over the goal line.) Who cares. Heck, that win kind of typifies the whole season except for the ND game.

The ND game was the only fun game of the year. Did you seriously find the miracle win at home over a bad GT team and the close win over an even worse UNC team to be fun?

I think the answer is as obvious as “is water wet?” They’d be 7 point underdogs to the 2005 Canes.
