The reality is "spread" is a very generic term. Under that umbrella there are a LOT of different varieties of spread offenses that emphasize different aspects of the game. There are teams that actually run as much or more out of the spread than they throw.

Yes, yes, we all get it. Miami is the worst team in the world to work for and no one other than a failed Div. 3 coach would ever come to be an OC here...blah, blah. He would leave Ok. St. because he would get paid more here and it's a much more high profile job.

Agreed. I think Lashlee would move us in the right direction, but Gleeson is by far my top choice. The combination of the offense he runs, and his reputation as a great teacher/motivator that the players also love, would make him the ideal choice, especially given the types of issues we have...
