Ours? The sign said, "The City Of Miami Welcomes You To The Orange Bowl." We shared it with the Dolphins until JRS was built.
Google Doral.
You're grasping straws now.
Population in 2018:
Miami-Dade 2,751,796
Broward 1,935,878
Palm Beach 1,471,150
So yes, let's give a middle finger to 2.5 million people because a fraction of the 2.7 million might have a problem driving 20 miles.
I used to leave campus really late, between 11 and 1 when the library closed, the most wonderful smell filled the air around that bakery. I haven't thought about that in years.
You know the goal is to attract people, right? You don't do that by making it inconvenient for them. Do you think they'd be able to afford all the amenities that HRS provides? Nope. So now people north of say downtown Miami have to drive farther through worse traffic and pay more for a lesser...
So let's say every one of those students goes to every game. How are you filling the rest of the seats? You have people from Broward up to Jupiter who will not go to games any more. It's a 75 minute drive to HRS, it was a 135 minute drive to campus when I did it 25 years ago. What's your...
Yes, I'm sure Manny Diaz is completely unable to take them for a tour of Hard Rock Stadium on an official visit.
And no recruit would ever think playing in an NFL stadium is better than a ****** college stadium.
OCCC is right about one thing. You have obviously never been Coral Gables, the...
Most? It's right on the highway centrally located to PB, Broward, and Dade. Easy to get in and out. Its hard to find a location with that ease of access for most of the potential attendees.
First, we're P5. Second, I'm sure recruits are discouraged by having to play in an NFL stadium that's hosting the next Super Bowl. To suggest that a stadium with bleachers is in any way superior to a full stadium with all the amenities is beyond asinine.
Also, we're one of 5 teams that play in...
So HRS doesn't look full enough, so we should spend billions to build a stadium at the south edge of the fan base with fewer seats so it will look fuller.
Makes good sense to me. Why not add an express bullet train from Marco Island while we're at it?
The last time I was in HRS prior to saturday was before the remodel. Because of the accommodations for baseball the seats were further back and higher up. It was a night and day difference.
Anybody that suggests leaving Hard Rock has either never been there or suffered head trauma.
