I don’t think that’s true. I just think people have grown impatient with the constant barrage of **** coaches. Manny may be able to learn on the job, and who knows- he may even become a good coach; but you can hardly blame the fans who aren’t down for that.

I think you may be confusing the meaning of “losing the fan base.” It means that he is “losing the fan base’s confidence.” It does not mean that he is “losing the fan base’s attendance.”
