Biggest Surprise of the Season - How Bad Enos Is

Yep. How about Enos try to create spacing and use our athletes to exploit the spacing decisions the defense makes? That wouldn’t be a bad way to try to get around the OL. Seems like lining up in a jumbo package and trying to go man on man with slow developing plays is the dumbest solution you...

Biggest Surprise of the Season - How Bad Enos Is

I think a major flaw in Enos' offense is that it is too "sophisticated." It's similar to Diaz's defense. Manny tried to do way too much and make things far more complicated than they need to be at times. Fortunately we had the talent to overcome that. And there were a lot of good things that...

Biggest Surprise of the Season - How Bad Enos Is

Our fans never complained about Miami being in the shotgun under Richt. The complaint was Richt didn't understand how to run a modern offense. He was too outdated. And so he was a dinosaur doing his best impression of a modern offense. Enos doesn't even try to be modern.

Maybe. And those might be structural issues that spring from the coach (See Willie Taggart and that will never get fixed). Or they might be temporary things that get fixed out. But Enos' play calling is a structural limitation to this program that will never be fixed.

Biggest Surprise of the Season - How Bad Enos Is

There are weaknesses in the offensive personnel for sure. But that's true of every team. What you do is scheme around it. Did anybody just see what USCw did with their 3rd string QB against a legit defense? Why is their offense so much better this season even playing these younger QBs...
