Just got off the phone with Spectrum re: ACC Network

Got it. Was watching Richt a bit earlier. Cable guide does not yet have the programming on it, so I can't see what shows are upcoming. Spectrum usually updates the cable guide each morning.

Just got off the phone with Spectrum re: ACC Network

Just added ACC Network on Spectrum in Orlando, should be working when I get home tonight. And because I was switching from legacy Brighthouse to Spectrum, they gave me a promo (unlike some of you guys, I don't threaten them on the phone every 6 months), so I got extra channels, extra internet...

Just got off the phone with Spectrum re: ACC Network

I think you are confused. We are not talking about THIS WEEK. We are talking about the ACC Network generally, and the fact that the UNC game in 2 weeks will only be available on ACC Network.

Just got off the phone with Spectrum re: ACC Network

Spectrum - my channel guide is now showing Channel 1187 for ACC Network (HD) and Channel 90 for standard definition. Somebody mentioned an ACC Network and an ACC X (overflow), and Spectrum only has the first channel.

I called yesterday (Tuesday) and the guy didn't know yet.

Well, obviously you convince a neighbor to not put a password on his/her WiFi network. Come on, man, you are obviously an amateur among some of these CIS "extreme coupon-ers" who only pay $10 for electricity each month and $5 for their cell phone bills.

Just got off the phone with Spectrum re: ACC Network

Nah, man, I hate cable, I would be happy to do something else. I've tried other methods, including satellite, which is problematic in Florida. And my brother is a champion cord-cutter, he has everything, the VPN, multiple streaming devices, etc. I did say a couple of nice things on the TiVo...

Just got off the phone with Spectrum re: ACC Network

Are you nuts? I don't "really love cable" and I've certainly never worked for any cable conglomerate. I'm not "trying too hard here". But D Rev Lee (and others) have given mistaken information about how easy (and cheaply) it will be to get ACC Network from streaming services. I started the...

Just got off the phone with Spectrum re: ACC Network

You'll have to be careful on this deal. ESPN Plus will NOT have ACC Network. "Hulu" MIGHT have ACC Network, but only as a part of their "Hulu + Live TV". For that price, it sounds like it will be "regular Hulu" (streaming of previously broadcast shows, but not live shows). HULU + LIVE TV...

Just got off the phone with Spectrum re: ACC Network

We all need to just stop listening to D Rev Lee. Problem solved.

Just got off the phone with Spectrum re: ACC Network

Yeah, several people (including D Rev Lee) pretty much said that "all you need" is ESPN+. Not true. And this thread has gone way off the path. I know there are a ton of guys who are going to tout "cord cutting" and tell you all the great ways to save $50. Fine. But we have had previous...

Just got off the phone with Spectrum re: ACC Network

One quick note, and this one is not sarcastic. Most of the smart TVs allow you to update your firmware every so often, so you might want to check if you can update what's on your Bravia. The "Bravia" brand name has been out for a while, so it's hard to say what's what. I all honesty, consider...

Just got off the phone with Spectrum re: ACC Network

Both ends of the electrical cord should be plugged in as well. It's a common mistake to forget about plugging the cord into the back of the TV.

Just got off the phone with Spectrum re: ACC Network

I think there's another reason too. When Disney bought Fox, they were required to sell the local Fox Sports affiliates. Seeing as how much of the local Fox Sports programming has been college sports (which, among the Power 5, are now moving over to conference channels), I would imagine that...

Just got off the phone with Spectrum re: ACC Network

Agreed. It's funny, I found a modem/wireless router at Best Buy that works on Spectrum. Paid for itself. Then, last year, my dad passed away, and I was helping my mom take care of all of her TV/internet stuff. So I bought the same modem/router for her, but we had to take it back to Best Buy...

Just got off the phone with Spectrum re: ACC Network

They sucked for a while and I got rid of all my old boxes, but the Bolts are pretty amazing. ****, everyone who DVRs is using something that TiVo invented. I'm not a fan of paying the cable company $10 or $15 a month for every "HD DVR" that they "rent" to me, just so that I can pay them more...

I had to repeat the name to my rep twice. And explain what it was, twice.

Just got off the phone with Spectrum re: ACC Network

You live in Windermere, you can afford cable! Just kidding, though, it just depends on what anyone wants to pay and wants to get. I just think it's good news that a couple of cable companies that have NOT YET announced are likely to have ACCN.

Just got off the phone with Spectrum re: ACC Network

My only problem is that I have 3 Tivo Bolt boxes (with lifetime programming) that run off of a Cable Card. I may still cut the cord, but I'm not against paying for cable either. At the best, most of these guys are talking about paying $100 to $120 for a wide variety of cable-cutting options...
