Actually, the ‘03 team was mentioned earlier in this thread. Subpar offense prevented a championship caliber defense from winning the title. But your list doesn’t take into account the fact that Gore tore his ACL early in the season vs WVU. Had he stayed healthy things might have been different.

It has been discussed a lot on this board and on the old Grassy/Scout board. Those who are truly in the know still won’t come clean about it.

I wish that Kelly led team could’ve had a crack at Clemson, but the probation issue ends the discussion.
