Dam sounds like a fun night!!!

This year VIP wasn't anywhere close to as comfortable and fun as Bayside. The downtown venue was just so perfect in so many ways. You would not want to be in the main crown with a chair. They do have wheelchair access in many VIP areas though.

Without the WMC, I doubt it takes off like it did. You're absolutely right!! But the big DJ's were looking for a venue that could hold big crowds and the WMC pool party's weren't going to cut it.
