The only source I've seen says "is expected to be." Not sure if you've ever taken a class in the English language, but that is not the same as "will be." This is a very basic journalism tactic.

This is all I've seen "Former Houston HC Major Applewhite is expected to be named Hurricanes' offensive coordinator, per sources." When a reporter confirms something, they don't put "is expected to be." It's hedging for "I think so but I'm not entirely sure."

And he didn't confirm anything. Not saying it's not true, this search has just been a pretty crazy ride.

I never knocked Stefan for the report, but we have no more confirmation now than we did when this was first reported.
