With the way Diaz structures his defense, you're about to have one.

I think Banda has done enough to warrant consideration for something outside of Manny's umbrella. I was pleasantly surprised at how well safety play has been for the last 3 years.

Safety development has actually been solid while Banda was here. And his recruiting isn't too shabby. If he lands Stevenson somehow, then crown him.

Thing is, S coach at Miami is a higher step than S coach at Temple. Manny might not be able to offer Banda the money he's making at Miami, while at Temple. The only way I see Banda going is if he's a DC, or holds some type of associate HC title.

At this point, I'd try to take on LB coach if I'm Banda. I'd take him a hundred times over than Patke; the latter of whom I still don't understand what he does exactly.

Sure, Bama poaching our coaches is a problem. The Manny Diaz situation's a bit different. This is how it's always been at Miami since the 80's. You have a great coach, they get offers for better gigs (position coaches -> coordinators, coordinators -> HC, HC sometimes go off to the NFL). That's...

You sure NFL teams were interviewing Kool? Kool looks like a coach that wants nothing to do with recruiting whatsoever, which is part of being a position coach at the college level.

Kirby and Venables are/were in situations where they were constantly winning. They're also ridiculously paid (Kirby was at the time). Bud Foster's the kind of guy who realizes that he just wants to be a DC; those guys exist where they don't want to go through the vigors of being a HC. A&M just...

I don't want Richt having anything to do with the next HC at Miami.
