    Well we played 5 DEs last year -- Thomas, Trent, J Jackson, D Jackson, and Garvin. We like to rotate DL to keep them fresh so they can attack. So I don't know that you "need" 5 in the rotation, but 4 seems like an absolute minimum.

    My thoughts also. You generally want one of your DTs to be a big guy that can occupy a couple OL (like Kendrick Norton). Ford seems more suitable. But if Bethel is clear and away one of your top 2 (along with Willis), maybe you start him anyway.

    If those 5 are healthy and read to play, that would be fine. A 5 man rotation at DE is good. The problem is you can't really count on Patchan being healthy. And who knows how D Jackson will come back from injury. Then your other guy is a FR that still needs to physically mature. At DT...

    How many times do you need to be told that he may have to play there by necessity. We all know he's better off at DT. But given our pathetic DE depth, it's possible he may have to help out there.

    We likely won't have the luxury of redshirting Rousseau. Only five deep at DE. With DJackson coming off an injury and Patchan injured more often than not. We've got quality talent at DE, but depth is terrible.
