Yep. Snoozeagowski may have been canned. He majorly messed up our DL going into this season. Needed 3 DTs and 3 DEs and had only 1 DE to sign early - and only 1 other DL commit at the time. Perhaps Norton and McIntosh weren't terribly happy with him as the coach and that contributed to their...

I think Kuligowski's record (and almost all of his first rounders) was stronger with DEs. Not so much with DTs. At any rate, it's a moot topic now. On to the next DL coach - who hopefully will have a pulse on the recruiting trail.

There was a rumor on the board (could be true) that after he got canned at Mizzou he sent the playbook to other schools or something along those lines. A serious case of sour grapes if it happened.

Yeah, that was the point. It won't happen, but having Butch running the D would be nasty. He'd find players from nowhere and turn them into big timers. Or out-recruit whoever steps into our yard. But it won't happen. Hopefully we get a really good DL coach who can actually recruit well, too.

There's someone at FIU who knows something about DL. And defenses. It'd probably be a pay raise, too, but wouldn't happen.
