Head coach of the Miami Hurricanes, Mario Cristobal, and his staff are back on the recruiting trail, locking in visits with top prospects.

Texas Tech commit Jalen Brewster announced Thursday morning via On3 that he will be taking official visits to Miami, despite being committed to the Texas Tech Red Raiders.

Johnson has been pledged to Texas Tech since October 4, but that hasn’t slowed interest from several programs around the country.

While Texas Tech remains firmly in the picture, Jalen still holds an impressive offer sheet that includes Miami, Texas Tech, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Texas, Oregon, Indiana, and many more.

According to the 247Sports Composite, Jalen is ranked as the No. 4 overall prospect in the nation and the No. 1 defensive lineman in the 2027 class. He also checks in as the No. 2 player in the state of Texas. Jalen measures in at 6-foot-3, 302 pounds.

On the field, Brewster comes by way of Cedar Hill High School, where he put together a productive season.

Johnson remains committed to Texas Tech for now, but with an official visit set to Miami, his recruitment is one to monitor closely as the process moves forward.
