A move the could help bolster Miami Hurricane basketball recruiting more, on Thursday, Prolific Prep announced they are relocating from Napa Valley, CA to Fort Lauderdale. Prolific Prep will begin play out of its new South Florida home this fall.

Who is Prolific Prep?

The Crew have also developed 14 McDonald's All Americans and have been chosen to participate in the esteemed Chipotle Nationals tournament for the last six years.

One of the premier prep basketball schools in the nation. This past season, the nations #1 recruit according to multiple outlets, Darryn Peterson ( Kansas Commit ) suited up for them. Some other famous alumni of Prolific Prep include Jalen Green, Josh Jackson, Gary Trent, Nate Bittle, Milos Susan and former Hurricane Michael Nwoku.

In addition to bringing numerous top national recruits to South Florida for high school, another key element to take notice of is sponsorship. Prolific Prep is an Adidas sponsored program, just as the Hurricanes are.

This is exciting. Florida is really becoming a hot bed of basketball. Some of the best programs across the country from Columbus, IMG, MVA, Calvary and now prolific. You also have schools like St Thomas, Sagemont, Riviera and Westminster and more putting top talent out there and changing the game. It is a fun time for HS basketball in South Florida and across the state.

Let's see... if the financial support stays, it should be. They hired a coach from the program and are keeping the key pieces for this year. I also hear they are in it for Jordan Fisher who is one of the top young HS players around. If they add him, it will be easy to build around him.

This has been in the works for a while now. Nationally, they'll continue to play on the Grind Session and are supposed to be joining Florida's SIAA as well. Two of the top high school leagues in the country.

Losing their head coach will be tough, but the bigger loss was the Boozer twins graduating. As good as Moran was for Columbus, make no mistake about it new HC and long time assistant Jorge Milo played a vital role in their success as well. Miro was Moran's right hand man and top assistant and over the last few years he' also made a name for himself as one of the state's top skill trainers. Columbus is still actively looking to add top local and national prospects. If the new coaching staff can stay competitive nationally and/or win another state title next season, then I don't see much of a fall off going forward.

believe he’s the first of Proflics moves since coming down. Top 5 player, also an Adidas athlete.
