After testing the portal, Miami Hurricanes wide receiver Ny Carr reported this morning that he is returning to Miami.

During his true freshman season, Carr played in five games. He caught one pass, which totaled eight yards. He made his collegiate debut in Miami’s victory over Florida A&M, where he recorded the 8-yard catch.

Coming out of high school from Colquitt County in Georgia, Carr was ranked as the 98th best player in the nation and the 21st best wide receiver, based on the 247sports composite rankings.

When they come back
Do they come back with same nil or with a new one?

I've been there.

You in a nice lil relationship. Then you get to thinking. Gas yourself up. You break up and hit them streets and immediately realize "I wanna go back home."

Ain't **** out there for you, young buck. Put that work in and earn that playing time. You got the talent.

I can understand his frustration. QB play this spring w/o Beck was likely meh, to be polite.

That may have made him a little antsy.

Maybe he saw Beck tossing here and there of late and figured better to stay with a proven talent.

Doubt it had anything to do with it. He knew Beck would be ready by the fall.

I think it is more likely that Carr and his agent tested the portal waters and realized there was not a better opportunity for him. He’s lucky UM still had the NIL $$ allocated for him.
Yup. Someone made an emotional decision.

These are kids. Not adults. Patience is a virtue but if he's seeing shoddy QB play every day at practice, I can't blame him for maybe being a little petulant or antsy. I mean, look at how much noise Tyreek made when Tua was hurt. His targets and receptions went down and he started whining despite the fact that he knew Tua would return at some point and he'd get his numbers then.

Not saying Miami shouldnt take him back....but what if Miami in this situation said no, we dont want him back. Is the school required to take him back/give scholarship back? Or can the school say kick rocks kid.

This doesn’t change plans. We needed a proven WR two weeks ago. Last week we needed that plus an additional player to replace Carr. Now the latter is negated - we add (back) a highly touted young receiver who will hopefully develop over the next year.

NAh...Toney took his meal card and he ran. Then he realized aint no market for a FR receiver with no film

Every man has been there its one of the first lessons we have to learn ni way around it! In this case im glad bro is back!!! Im sure spring was not fun for the receivers! I couldnt imagine trying to run a spring practice with Emory and Judd as the QBS!

Miami doesn't have to renew his scholly. Its a yearly scholly at least it used to be. who knows anymore in the age of free agency
