Miami wing Timotej Malovec has entered the transfer portal, sources tell DraftExpress.
The 6-foot-8, 214-pound freshman out of Slovakia averaged 4.2 points, 1.3 rebounds, 0.9 assists, and 0.3 steals in 14.9 minutes per game across 33 appearances. Malovec started two games for UM and recorded four double-figure scoring performances this season.
His best game came against Southern Miss, earlier on in the season, where he dropped a career high 16 points, two rebounds, and two assists.
He began the year as a contributor off the bench while adjusting to the college level, but developed into one of Miami’s better shooters as the season progressed in the middle of the season. However, With limited playing time, he ultimately decided to enter the transfer portal.
For now, he’s exploring his options ahead of his sophomore season.
