Miami to Face Stanford in First Round of 2026 ACC Women’s Basketball Tournament

The University of Miami women’s basketball team will open postseason play at the 2026 Ally ACC Women’s Basketball Tournament on Wednesday, March 4, facing Stanford at Gas South Arena.
Miami enters the tournament as the No. 12 seed and will take on No. 13 seed Stanford in the first game of the tournament at 11 a.m. ET. The matchup will be aired on ACC Network.
The Hurricanes closed the regular season with a 16–13 overall record and an 8–10 mark in ACC play. Stanford finished the regular season 19–12 overall and also posted an 8–10 record in conference action.
Miami and Stanford met earlier this season, with the Hurricanes earning a 66–51 victory in the regular-season contest.
Georgia Tech, Miami and Stanford all concluded ACC play with matching 8–10 records. The Yellow Jackets secured the higher seed after recording wins over both the Hurricanes and the Cardinals in the tiebreaker. Miami followed the Yellow Jackets with a win over Stanford to be granted No. 12 in the bracket.
The winner of the first-round matchup between Miami and Stanford will then advance to the second round and face No. 5 seed Notre Dame on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. ET.
