Miami basketball is slowly moving on up in the bracketology.

CBS Sports released their annual bracketolody for the first full week of March, and the Miami Hurricanes are in a good spot. CBS has the Hurricanes listed as a No. 7 seed in the bracketology. The highest seed of any website that put Miami this season.

The CBS crew has the Hurricanes playing in the East Region of the bracket, playing against a Florida foe, that will turn heads if the two gets each other in the first round, in No. 10 seed UCF Knights. Miami is not so far off from being a No. 6 seed in the bracketology. Other big time media outlets have the Hurricanes listed as a No. 8 seed in the field.

CBS Sports projects eight ACC teams in the field, led by Duke as a No. 1 seed. The other top seeds are UConn, Arizona, and Michigan.

ACC teams projected:
  • Duke — No. 1
  • Virginia — No. 4
  • Louisville — No. 6
  • North Carolina — No. 6
  • Miami — No. 7
  • NC State — No. 8
  • Clemson — No. 8
  • SMU — No. 10
The Hurricanes isn’t worrying about the bubble anymore. The Canes are playing their best basketball at the right time, and that’s all that really matters.

How big would it be to take out SMU (based on their record and wins about as schizophrenic as we are) and UL to close out the season....that would be sweet

No reason why we can't beat SMU and Louisville... finish strong and get a 7th seed or higher in the dance

What a turnaround. Lucas has to be up for COY if they can win a couple more.
