Even though the Miami Hurricanes basketball team has just seven players on their roster, they are ranked higher than teams with almost a full roster. This really says something in Jon Rothstein's new offseason rankings.
Jon Rothstein has just dropped his new rankings this morning, placing the Hurricanes at No. 27 in the country with just seven players, and he also shared his projected starting five:
• G Tre Donaldson
• G Tru Washington
• F Shelton Henderson
• F Malik Reneau
• C Ernest Udeh
The Hurricanes have brought in some serious talent from the portal, including Sweet 16 point guard Tre Donaldson and standout MWC defensive player Tru Washington. They've also snagged one of the top shot blockers Ernest Udeh Jr. from the Big 12, along with Malik Reneau. Plus, Miami is making waves in the 2025 recruiting class, sitting in the top 20 after adding four-star shooting guard Dante Allen and five-star small forward Shelton Henderson.
Jai Lucas has also upgraded the coaching team by bringing in new faces like Andrew Moran, LJ Rose, Zack Zillner, Riley Welsh, Charlton Young, and Erik Pastrana.
There is big buzz around the Canes hoops team and it’s starting to get noticed.
