Four-star running back Nigel Newkirk has narrowed his recruitment to six schools, and Miami made the cut.
Nigel announced on Twitter that his final list includes Miami, Alabama, Michigan, USC, Ohio State, and the LSU Tigers.
The elite 2027 running back visited Miami on October 25. He has also taken trips to each of the other programs in his top group, including Alabama (3x).
As a junior, he stuffed the stat sheet while leading his home at Gainesville (GA) playing for Gainesville High School to a 12–3 record. Newkirk rushed 184 times for 1,496 yards, averaging 8.1 yards per carry, with 19 touchdowns.
Nigel, a 5-foot-11, 185-pound prospect, is rated a four-star and ranked No. 194 overall, No. 11 among running backs, and the No. 22 player in Georgia in the 247Sports 2026 Composite.
