Mario Cristobal and the Miami Hurricanes football staff have extended an offer to three-star edge rusher Esa Wittingburg.
On Wednesday afternoon, the Hurricanes offered the 6-foot-3, 230-pound New Jersey native. He now holds over 30 offers from Power Five programs, including NC State, Pittsburgh, Virginia, Wake Forest, Rutgers, Duke, Tennessee, and Notre Dame, among others.
Hurricanes defensive line coach Jason Taylor was in attendance at Esa's spring individual workout and offered him right after.
Esa is set to visit three ACC foes (Pittsburgh, Virginia, and Wake Forest) all in the summer, starting his trip out with Pittsburgh and ending his unofficial visit with Wake Forest.
According to the 247Sports ranking system, he is currently ranked as a three-star prospect. He also ranks as the No. 829 overall player in the 2027 class, 66th edge rusher, and the No. 25 player out of New Jersey, where he plays high school football at East Orange Campus High, where he racked up a total of 23 tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss, and six sacks in only six games. As a freshman, he had eight sacks.
This adds another prospect to the Hurricanes 2027 long list of recruits. Who do you want to see next on the board for Miami to go after?
