DMoney had a chance to speak with a couple of players at Miami Hurricanes Media Day, where he caught up with Hurricanes defensive lineman Armondo Blount.

Here is the full transcript of the interview:

How are you feeling after this summer?

I'm just happy. I'm really grateful. Thankful to God. I've just been having my head down, waiting for the season.

How are you able to keep your academics up and all of that at such a young age?

My mom always tell me, with hard work, you can make anything happen, like, everything is possible, you just have to put your effort into it, and that's all I do, I just put my best foot forward in everything I do, and I just try my best, really, I don't think too much thinking about it.

What were some of your football goals this spring?

Just get my body right. Endurance, just mentally tough, and working on getting better in football overall, and improving anything I can. That's been the main focus of spring ball.

What's your mindset football-wise?

Not good thoughts. Not too many good thoughts, I just kind of separate the football from when I'm off the field. When I'm on the field, it's just aggression, dominance, and playing my hardest. That's all I'm thinking for real. I don't think too much of it. There's no nice thinking, it's just football, you know?

How do you see yourself lining up on the defensive line?

Right now, we've just been focusing on how the fall camp is going to be. There hasn't been too much worrying about what position I'm going to be in. It's just been getting better right now. We're going to get more into that fall camp. But that's why we've been focusing on the fall camp.

How do you feel after being limited by injury last offseason?

It's way better. This time last year was harder, but I'm way better because of it. Thankful.

How do you describe your game to Hurricanes fans?

Relentless, I'm gonna give it my all. Just know everything I got, I'm gonna leave it in his field. I never let someone hold back. All you even know is that I'm gonna give it my all, no matter what.

Who are some guys you like competing against?

The starting o-line, I've been doing this since last year. I'm going against the best o-line, so it's going to get me better. I like it because when you're going against high competition every day, "Iron sharpens iron." So, you're just going at it. I'm ready to clash with all of them. Because if it's going to get us better, then that's what I'm ready for.

Armando was listed last year at 260 at 6'4". in our S&C has he added any more muscle weight?

My brain broke trying to read that. Either tons of grammatical errors or Blount speaks in double negatives or struggles in interviews. Either way seems kid is locked in and isn’t much for talking. Excited to see how he plays this year

I can see him getting 10-15 snaps a game inside. With Lowe at DE, it's harder to guess snaps outside. This staff is definitely a experience leaning staff, so know that. I believe Lowe and Blount are talented enough young players to play. They just unfortunately play the same spot so I could see Blount inside more. I don't think they will play Lowe inside. I personally don't believe they want to play Simpson this season either.

Sounds like Armondo’s got a great mindset, focused, thankful, and grounded. Keeping your head down and working hard is exactly what you need to do, especially balancing football and school. Definitely respect that hustle.

We need to find ways to get the best on the field . If that is moving Bain inside on passing downs to get some more pressure on the qb than do it . We have to much talent not to find ways to get then all on the field at once . Blunt , Bain , Inside on passing downs lightfoot and Hayden or whoever can be get to the qb in a hurry . A fast package , just an example on passing downs like 3rd and 10 plus yards. Especially vs teams like fsu with a fast qb not so much teams like Nd who prob will run the ball on 3rd and 10 if u do that to much
