The winter transfer portal officially opened on January 2, and Miami has already seen several players decide to explore their options. That list grew again today, as defensive back Charles Brantley plans to enter the transfer portal.
Brantley declared his plans to enter the portal on Wednesday after spending one year at Miami.
Charles Brantley transferred to Miami from Michigan State, where he spent three seasons, and appeared in limited action this year for the Hurricanes, finishing with one tackle while playing behind a crowded and talented defensive back room.
The 6’0, 179-pound defensive back had a productive 2024 season at Michigan State, recording 27 tackles, two tackles for loss, and three interceptions. According to PFF, he allowed 14 receptions for 149 yards on 37 targets without giving up a touchdown.
We wish him best of luck!
