The college football world has quieted after the NFL Combine. This is where players training for the NFL get more work in as they get ready for Pro Day, which starts on March 23.

In addition, the CBS Sports crew dropped a fresh 2026 first-round NFL Mock Draft update on Friday morning, and three Hurricanes were included among the 32 picks. Two of them landed inside the top ten, you can probably guess who, by now. The third came off the board later in the first round.

7. Rueben Bain Jr. | Washington Commanders
9. Francis Mauigoa | Kansas City Chiefs
32. Akheem Mesidor | Seattle Seahawks

Check out what CBS Sports had to say about the Hurricanes:

Rueben Bain Jr. | Washington Commanders | No. 7 Pick

The Titans and Commanders picks are closely linked. If Sonny Styles had been available with Rueben Bain Jr. off the board, he would've been the choice. Given the opposite played out in this scenario, Washington adds Bain to a group that includes Dorance Armstrong, Odafe Oweh and K'Lavon Chaisson. Jeremiyah Love would've been a consideration for this team as well.

Francis Mauigoa | Kansas City Chiefs | No. 9 Pick

Kansas City is not often in a position to pick in the top 10. The Chiefs need to use that opportunity to add a player at a premium position: offensive line, edge rusher, etc. Jawaan Taylor was released, so the team needs a replacement. The Chiefs missed out on the top edge rushers but settle for offensive line help.

Akheem Mesidor | Seattle Seahawks | No. 32 Pick

Akheem Mesidor is an older prospect who'll be able to help the defending Super Bowl champions immediately. They allowed Boye Mafe to depart in free agency, but depth remains a strength in their efforts to repeat.

I'd be quite happy if this came to pass. Bain and Cici are locks, would love to see Mesidor get that guaranteed 1st round money
