On Thursday afternoon, Hurricanes defensive line coach Damione Lewis checked out four-star defensive lineman Ezekiel Ayangbile. The 6-foot-3, 270-pound defensive lineman is out of Houston, TX, where he plays high school football at Langham Creek High School.
According to the 247Sports ranking system, Lewis is currently ranked as the No. 225 overall player, 23 defensive lineman, and the No. 36 player out of Texas.
During his junior season at Langham Creek High School, he recorded 50 tackles, eight tackles for loss, and three sacks. His father, Duane Brown, was a five-time Pro Bowler after playing at Virginia Tech from 2003–07 and being selected 26th overall in the first round of the NFL Draft.
Ezekiel currently olds offers from many power five schools including Miami, Kentucky, Ohio State, Virginia Tech, Arizona State, Arkansas, Baylor, California, Duke, Houston, Kansas State, LSU, among others.
