Miami Hurricanes head coach Mario Cristobal said he “feels good” about star defensive back Keionte Scott’s chances of returning this Saturday when Miami takes on Texas A&M.

Cristobal was having his annual Monday presser previewing the Hurricanes next opponent when he said that about Scott.

Scott has been one of Miami’s most productive defenders this season. In 2025, he’s recorded around 44 tackles, 1 interception, 5 passes defended, 1 forced fumble, and 3 sacks while playing in the secondary.

Scott suffered a lower-body during Miami’s game against Syracuse on November 8th.

He could be set to return this weekend and it’s a big one.

hope its the one time its not misdirection

Love the guy, but I genuinely don't believe a single word that comes out of Mario's mouth about injuries. Could be easily be a decoy for TAMU. We'll see on Saturday.

Assuming there is indeed not a funeral service for him upcoming it would be huge. He was probably our best all around player on defense with exception to when Bain was on

“Cristobal was having his annual Monday presser previewing the Hurricanes next opponent when he said that about Scott.”

That’s a bit of an exaggeration.
Mario's annual injury update.... is what it should say.

Tomorrow they'll annoucn a home and home starting in 2030 and this will all make sense

This has to mean Scott’s been a full go I practice this week (and possibly last week).
