As March Madness gets closer, still a little over 40 hours from tip, the headlines around college basketball are starting to roll in.
ESPN dropped its Top 50 players for the NCAA tournament, and Hurricanes forward Malik Reneau made the cut for the Miami Hurricanes.
Reneau checks in at No. 34 on the list, right in that middle tier of players, with the ability to swing a game and change momentum.
Here is what ESPN had to say about Reneau:
At Indiana, the 6-foot-9 forward had a promising junior season under former head coach Mike Woodson. Now under Jai Lucas at Miami, Reneau has played to his full potential averaging 18.8 points, 6.6 rebounds and 59% shooting inside the arc. A string of strong performances from Reneau -- 24 points against Louisville, 26 against NC State, 16 against North Carolina -- were critical to the Hurricanes earning their first NCAA tournament berth since 2023. -- Medcalf
Reneau is the 13th ranked forward in March Madness. There are 12 players in his position ahead of him, with Cameron Boozer and Yaxel from Michigan leading his group.
