HALFTIME: Miami 44, Virginia 39

Miami started to find its groove midway through the first half, building the lead to 11 at one point. But a late push from Virginia cut into that cushion, and now the Hurricanes head into the break holding onto a 44-39 lead.

Tru Washington leads the Hurricanes with 13 points, followed by Tre Donaldson with 10. Shelton Henderson has nine, while Malik Reneau has added seven. As a team, Miami is shooting 55.2 percent from the field and 62.5 percent from three.

The offense has been humming, but the key in the second half will be limiting Virginia’s runs. If the Canes stay efficient and tighten things up defensively, they’ve got a real shot to create some separation.

Lets grab a snack...

Final look at the ACC Standings

02/21/2026 1:21 PM

With a win today, Miami can take over second place in the ACC. The Canes with a win today would move the Hurricanes above the Cavaliers. Lots of basketball to play, obviously, but a reminder that this is a huge opportunity for Miami.
