Jalen Rivers moving to Guard with chance to Start as NFL Rookie

Former Hurricane offensive lineman and current NFL rookie, Jalen Rivers, doesn't turn 23 until next month but he is on the brink of being asked to protect a 275 million dollar asset in Joe Burrow. Rivers, a fifth round pick of the Cincinnati Bengals entered the NFL as a offensive tackle, but with the ability to move to guard. The move seems to be coming NOW for the 6'6 - 319 pound offensive lineman.

With one pre-season game in the books and Rivers not having his best showing at left - tackle the Bengals have moved him to right guard. Rivers looks at home to the right of the center, 34 and 7/8 inch arms along with superior athleticism for a man his size makes it seem hard for him to stay off the field. Rivers immediately started to get second team reps this week with the move, but with yesterday's near decapitation of Joe Burrow by Shemar Stewart, look for Rivers to begin getting first team reps as training camp winds down.

The Bengals have a major need for guard play along the offensive line and all reports out of Cincinnati are that the staff is falling in love with Rivers and feel her could be an immediate impact player for them as a rookie. Coach Cristobal being a former offensive lineman himself along with Alex Mirabal one of the best O-line coaches in he nation, expect Rivers to be one of many Hurricanes under this coaching regime who will play significant snaps for a lot of winning NFL teams.

Excellent evaluation by Manny
Yes, really impressive evaluation by Manny. It wasn't like Rivers was a composite top 150-ranked player with offers from all the top schools or anything. Manny found him out of nowhere

It was a good recruiting win by Manny. Rivers worked his *** off for 5 years and improved little by little yearly and now he's performing on the grandest stage. Love to see it.
