IMG 7 on 7 Recap

Tito Benach
-Jack Allison looked very impressive at during the 7 on 7 play. He showed great arm strength and was very accurate throughout the day. There were a couple nice touch passes he made into the corner of the endzone as well that some college QB’s struggle to make. The most impressive part to me is that this is coming off his ankle rehab that ended in February. Many people I spoken to believe (including me) that Allison could easily compete for the Elite 11; he told me he plans on attending the Elite 11 event in Columbus, Ohio on June 2nd.

-I got a chance to speak with Jack and he seemed essentially sold on going to Miami. He was rocking a Miami hat and his father was sporting a Miami jacket as well. When I asked if he was talking to any other schools, he pretty much told me no. It wouldn’t surprise me to see UF make a run at Allison considering they need a QB for 2016.

-I came out to the 2013 IMG Regional event and it’s when I first saw Sam Bruce before he played his sophomore season at University school and I thought he would be pretty good eventually. Two years later in the same event, it’s almost unreal how much better Bruce has gotten. His his route running and cuts are off the charts and he shows great speed. Bruce showed a number of times how athletic he is by going over the middle leaping and making some nice grabs. I didn’t get a chance to speak with him, but the talk is the two real players for Bruce in this recruitment are Miami and Florida. One thing to note is that Bruce has a lot of connections to Miami as of now with Hurricanes wide receiver coach Kevin Beard being his former receivers coach at University school and he currently plays with a count of 5 2016 Hurricane commits on South Florida Express.

-The most impressive defensive player I saw today was 2016 cornerback Deion Jackson. He’s one of the most physical corners I’ve seen and his size and length make him very difficult to beat. His physicality is the best skill about him and he enjoys making it tough on the opposing receiver to get a good jump on him. He’s really not hearing from many schools yet because he doesn’t have a junior tape, but I would expect offers to come for a kid like this.

-2017 IMG Academy receiver Emmanuel Greene was one of the top receivers I saw today. He’s very similar to Bruce, but his speed is off the charts. He reminds me a lot of Phillp Dorsett which is coincidentally a player he says he models his game off of. When I spoke with him he said he didn’t have a top list of schools, but that if he did Miami would surely be at the top. Miami seems like the early frontrunner here, but it is very early in his recruitment.

-2016 defensive back Cedrick Wright was also very impressive today as he showed his physical play. Wright showed his ability to cover not only the slot, but also drop back and play some safety. He’s a very scrappy player that can be used in a variety of ways, which fits very well for the Miami defense.

-2016 wide receiver Dionte Mullins didn’t fail to impress. He’s runs good routes and made some nice touchdown grabs in the corner of the endzone. Mullins also showed some good speed by outrunning a couple defenders for touchdowns on slants. He seems like he can be a real offensive threat this year for Gulliver. Mullins looks like he’s already got some really good weight to him so it will certainly be interesting to see how much he will be weighing when he enters Miami.

-2016 DB Jamel Cook did pretty well today. He played both corner and safety today, but many feel the safety spot is where he's better suited. His long arms and size help him on jump balls and he moves around the field will very well and shows good range. The main idea I got from him is that his recruitment doesn’t seem over, he intends to take visits and Miami looks like one of them for now.

Great writeup thanks.

Gotta hold on to Bruce by any means.

Deion Jackson will be a hot ticket soon. It will be a fight to the end to keep him.

Jackson doesn't have junior film, which may help us. But the beginning of the season especially being at Hallandale he will get all the exposure.. Didn't FSU just game Lane from there.

Lane came from Homestead

Pinder did very well at the event as well. Was highlighted as someone who stood out.

Cedrick Wright won defensive MVP for the event.

Its so funny to me that the Gators believe they can get Jack Allison if they want, they are a Joke.
