Wisconsin continued to pull away for the rest of the third quarter, extending the margin to 15 and taking a 52-37 lead into the final period.
The fourth and final quarter unfolded similarly to the first three with Miami and Wisconsin going back and forth on the front court. However, after the five-minute mark the Canes began to finally cut into the Badger’s lead with three pointers from Raviv, Wetzel, Ahnay Adams, and Vittoria Blasigh. UM brought the margin down to as little as two (67-65), with less than a minute on the clock. Despite Miami’s deep comeback effort, Wisconsin kept its composure to solidify the 72-65 win.
The Hurricanes’ 72-65 loss to Wisconsin in the second round of the WBIT brought Miami’s 2025-26 season to a close, marking the end of Coach Cullop’s second year at the helm.
