Field of 68 on Jai Lucas' offseason: “How is this not a Top-15 -- maybe Top-10 -- team?”
National college basketball outlet Field of 68 is buying into what Jai Lucas and the Hurricanes coaching staff has built this offseason in Coral Gables.
During a recent segment, Rob Dauster, who is the main host on the Field of 68 show, was seen praising the Hurricanes head coach Jai Lucas, saying he doesn’t know how this team is not a top-15 or top-10 team in the nation.
The crew spoke highly on Jai Lucas and what he has brought in here at Miami. Check out what he said:
“I don’t know how you look at this team and don’t have them as a top 15, maybe even top 10 team heading into next season,” said Rob.

Jai Lucas has brought the culture back to Miami.
After the Hurricanes were down bad just a few years ago, coming off a 7-24 season with little to no buzz around the program, Lucas flipped the script in year one, getting Miami back into March.
In his first year, Lucas came in with an incredible portal class, and he’s doing the same this year, already bringing in three transfers including Acaden Lewis (Villanova guard), Somto Cyril (Georgia center), and DeSean Goode (Robert Morris forward and Horizon League Player of the Year).
The national media is taking notice of what Jai Lucas is building at Miami, and it’s just the start of his second offseason as Hurricanes head coach.
