Four-star (Bradenton, FL) running back Anthony Howard Jr. has trimmed his college list to just seven schools.
On Monday morning, Howard put the Miami Hurricanes among his top choices, and the Hurricanes are right there in the mix as his recruiting process heats up.
In addition to his top-seven schools, which includes: Miami, Auburn, Notre Dame, Tennessee, Florida State, Ohio State, and the Florida Gators. He also holds offers from UCF, NC State, Marshall, USF, among others.
Before the 5-foot-10, 195-pound running back transferred to IMG Academy, the 2028 standout recorded a total of 307 rushing yards and a touchdown as a freshman at his old high school, Auburndale High in Central Florida.
According to the 247Sports ranking system, Howard is currently ranked as the No. 276 overall player, 22 running back, and the No. 38 player out of Florida.
Howard has been on Miami's campus twice since the Hurricanes started to pursue him in his recruiting cycle. He recently visited Miami in November for a gameday unofficial visit. He also has visited Florida (6x), and Florida State.
According to the On3 Recruiting Machine, Howard currently holds an 63.4% chance to land at the Florida Gators, followed by the Hurricanes at 19.7%.
