Dylan Dubovik Named to Baseball America Midseason Freshman of the Year Watch List

Miami freshman Dylan Dubovik has been named to Baseball America’s Midseason Freshman of the Year Watch List, the publication announced Wednesday.
Dubovik has appeared in 24 games this season, making 19 starts while batting .321 with 17 runs scored and 25 hits. He has recorded four doubles, five home runs and 21 RBIs, totaling 44 bases with a .564 slugging percentage, he has also drawn five walks and stole three bases.
The Coral Springs, Fla., native has delivered several standout performances this season, including a five-hit effort against Lafayette on Feb. 22, where he went 5-for-6 with two doubles and two RBIs. He also turned in a three-hit game against Boston College on March 6, driving in four runs and recording six total bases.
Baseball America’s midseason watch lists are based primarily on in-season production, along with prospect status, feedback from professional evaluators and level of competition. Four finalists for each award will be announced May 27.
