Miami Hurricanes five-star small forward signee Caleb Gaskins is now a high school state champion right before he begins his college career at Miami.

Gaskins competed in The Throne with his high school, Christopher Columbus, where they defeated Long Island Lutheran in the championship game, 66–55.

He has now claimed his second national title in two years after beating Dynamic Prep (TX) 67–49 for the Chipotle Nationals 2025 crown last season.

Against Long Island Lutheran, the future Hurricane finished with 28 points, 10 rebounds, and four assists while playing nearly the entire game for the Explorers. Ultimately he was named MVP of the event.

The Explorers finished the season with a 26–6 record and a 12-game winning streak.

Now, Gaskins will look to carry that same momentum into Miami as he chases another national title in NCAA Division I Men's Basketball play during Jai Lucas’s second year as head coach.
