The Miami Hurricanes basketball squad took down rival Florida State Seminoles 83-73, improving to 22-6 overall and 11-4 in ACC play.

Behind a pair of 20-point performances from Malik Reneau and Tre Donaldson, Miami handled business Tuesday night inside the Donald L. Tucker Center.

The Hurricanes led most of the first half and carried a 38-32 lead into the break. A three from Timo Malovec and a Reneau dunk pushed the lead to seven midway through the half before Florida State trimmed it back to two. Every time the Seminoles made a run, Miami had an answer.

Miami shot 52% from the field compared to Florida State’s 46%. From deep, the Hurricanes knocked down 43% of their threes while the Seminoles struggled at 29%. The biggest difference came on the glass — Miami dominated the boards 42-23, creating second-chance opportunities and limiting Florida State to one shot on the other end.
