Two Miami players are hitting the transfer portal after the loss to Indiana in the national championship.
Quarterback Emory Williams and linebacker Bobby Washington have both decided to move on.
Williams’ time at Miami was anything but normal. Thrown into action as a freshman, he delivered one of the season’s biggest wins by beating Clemson in 2023. That year, he completed over 60% of his passes with three touchdowns and one pick. In three seasons at Miami, he totaled 813 yards with four touchdowns and two interceptions.
Now, Williams will look for a new home where he can compete for a starting job right away. East Carolina is considered a team to watch.
Washington also enters the portal, where he also spent three seasons at Miami.
Portal season is officially here in Coral Gables.
