Miami Hurricanes football head coach Mario Crisotbal and the Hurricane staff received some positive news on the recruiting trail on Monday afternoon.

Ruston (LA.) tight end Ahmad Hudson, a 6-foot-6, 239-pound, playing his ball at Ruston High School, narrowed his list on Monday afternoon to just six schools.

The Miami Hurricanes and Mario Cristobal's squad made the cut for the tight end, alongside the Hurricanes holds Texas A&M, LSU, Nebraska, USC, and the Missouri Tigers.

Ahmad is considered a five-star talent by all four major recruiting sites. He's the top player at his position and the No. 11 overall prospect in the 2027 class, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.

According to the On3's Recruiting Predicting Machine, he is leaning towards the LSU Tigers with a 96.6% chance to land the five-star tight end. LSU is considered the favorite in his recruitment, as Justin Wells and Sam Spiegelman both predict him to land with Lane Kiffin at LSU.

He would be a great addition to add to the tight end room for the Hurricanes. He would be a instant contributor if the Hurricanes can secure his commitment.
