5-star Georgia CB commit Donte Wright makes spring stop at Miami

Miami had another big time weekend inside the Carol Soffer Indoor Practice Facility, wrapping up the first week of Spring practices, with many top recruits on campus.

One of those recruits who saw the Hurricanes practicing was elite Georgia commit Donte Wright, who was checking out Coral Gables for a spring visit.

Wright thanked the Hurricanes head coach Mario Cristobal in a recent Twitter post after the visit:



While being committed to the Georgia Bulldogs, Miami is battling a loaded group for Wright, Along with the Canes, Oregon, Michigan, UCLA, and Auburn all continue to push for the Georgia pledge.

The 6-foot-1, 170-pound California standout out of Long Beach Poly (Long Beach, CA) is regarded as one of the top cornerbacks in his class. According to 247Sports, he holds a five-star rating and is currently ranked No. 23 nationally, No. 3 at cornerback and No. 2 in California.

Wright has quite a busy summer ahead of him scheduling visits to UCLA (May 15th), Georgia (May 29th), and Oregon (June 19th).

According to MaxPreps, Wright finished his junior season with 25 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, seven pass breakups, two sacks, and one forced fumble in 7 games.
