Four-star safety Jarrell Chandler out of (Knoxville, TN) is set to announce where he will be playing college football for the next three-to-four years.
On Monday afternoon, four-star safety Jarrell Chandler announced on Instagram that he will make his college decision on May 18th, which is next Monday. Chandler decided to trim his list to just four schools, including his home state Tennessee, Clemson, Vanderbilt, and Miami.
According to On3, he is currently projected to commit to the Tennessee Volunteers, as On3 gives him an 85.0% chance to land at the Volunteers.
Chandler has set his official visits for this summer: Clemson (May 29), Vanderbilt (June 5), and Tennessee (June 12). Miami is the only school in his final list that doesn't have a visit set up. However, with him setting his commitment date to May 18, we shall see if he even takes the visits, depending on where he ends up.
He is measured at 6-foot-3, 210 pounds, Chandler has decent size to play in college football. He is ranked as a four-star prospect, the No. 256 national player in the 2027 class, the No. 24 safety, and the No. 11 player in Tennessee.
During his junior season playing football, he racked up 94 tackles, six tackles for loss, eight pass breakups, three forced fumbles, one interception, and one fumble recovery while leading his Halls High School team to an 8-5 record. During his sophomore track and field season, he posted an 11.37 in the 100-meter dash.
