Multi-sport athlete Jasen Lopez, who competes in both football and basketball, has already received an offer from the football team. Now, the Hurricanes basketball program and coach Jai Lucas have joined in, extending an offer on Friday afternoon during his official visit to Miami.

Lopez announced the offer on Instagram, stating, "Extremely blessed to receive an offer from The University of Miami🏀🌴."

Currently, Jasen Lopez is ranked as a four-star wide receiver, checking in at No. 254 overall, No. 43 at his position, and No. 40 in Florida on the 247Sports 2026 Composite. He is also recognized as a three-star basketball talent, ranked No. 128 overall in the cycle, No. 17 among point guards, and No. 19 in Florida.

The 6-foot, 183-pound guard has been a dominant force at Chaminade Madonna Prep, averaging 25 points, 6.4 rebounds, 4.1 steals, and 2.2 assists per game while shooting 45% from the field and 34% from three-point range.

On the football field, Lopez's performance is even more impressive, finishing this past season with 87 receptions for 1,300 yards and 14 touchdowns.

Miami has been eager to include him on the football roster for some time, and with the basketball team now getting involved, this marks a positive step forward, as he has expressed interest in playing two sports in college.

Jasen Lopez committed to Florida State on June 26, just 5 days after this thread opened.

Nothing that I'm reading suggests that he's since decommitted. It would be great if the moderators, if there are any, would close a thread every once in a while.
